In regards to US remake: There was a Q & A with Misfits creator Howard Shore last summer and someone asked if the Storm hit any other countries? Howard replied "The storm will reach any country which i sell the format to. So it looks like there might be a storm in America soon..." -- That makes it sound like rather than a complete remake, it could be about new characters that the storm hit in the US. Which is a much more interesting concept than a remake, and I'd definitely watch

Not at all, to be honest, especially since there’s a huge cast change in season 4. But season 3 is good! So I’d recommend watching it.

Yeah, Friends was made in America. Friends was often compared to a British show called Couplings and when Friends ended, NBC replaced it with an American version of Couplings that turned out to be a failure. But Friends was an American original.

I think if an American remake was handled well, and properly adapted for an American audience it would be great. The problem arises when these remakes just copy the original, without making it their own. Like the American version of The Office is great, it's very different at this point from the original UK show, and that's the kind of route they need to take. Just my penny worth anyway.

That’s what I think! I think it could be good if handled properly and with care. I think it could be good. The UK version will always be my favorite (especially series 2…though, series 1 is awesome.)

But I’m okay with seeing an American one.

American remakes of British shows are shit. End of.
