The problem arises when these remakes just copy the original, without making it their own. Like the American version of The Office is great, it's very different at this point from the original UK show, and that's the kind of route they need to take. Just my penny worth anyway.

You may love the Inbetweeners and Shameless USA (which is fine, great in fact) but most people I know in England as well as myself don't find it funny, we don't really get the hilarity of the whole thing. Okay, I did know about Lauren Socha’s legal issues and what happened with the taxi driver…but she said that wasn’t the reason as to why she wasn’t coming back so I didn’t want to write that. Though, again, that could totally be the reason and she simply didn’t want to say that.
